Your obligations under the Work, Health and Safety Act

Your obligations under the Work, Health and Safety Act include –

  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety
  • Take reasonable care to ensure you don’t affect the health and safety of others
  • Carry out tasks in a safe way
  • Follow the reasonable work health and safety instructions
  • Co-operate with the reasonable policies and procedures of the organisation.
  • Carrying out activities within your role you have been assigned
  • Not carrying out activities that you do not have the skills to undertake
  • To not do anything that would seem to be unsafe
  • Reading, understanding and cooperating with the policies and procedures provided
  • Follow all legislative requirements
