2023/24 NSW Budget Disappoints Overall

The 2023/24 NSW Budget has left the community services sector and low-income individuals disappointed. While there are some positive aspects, such as investments in the Women’s Health sector, funding for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, and support for the Out of Home Care sector. A desire for greater investment in Early Intervention Programs and more substantial assistance for energy poverty through the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) program is needed.
